Wow! How stupid can people be? It's easy to check your firearm in your check baggage. Why would you try to fly with it?

I do like the TSA "Experts" quote:
“You see the way many passengers fling their carry-on bags onto the X-ray belts in the checkpoints. An accidental discharge could have tragic results.”
Is THAT the issue? Otherwise it would be OK? This point can be debated depending on your knowledge level of firearms, but not too many guns today can be fired by "Flinging" onto an X-Ray table.
Nice post SFC William Farrell!

And this recent idiot has a CCW MSgt Robert "Rock" Aldi. A CCW doesnt give you carte blanche to do whatever the hell you want to. I travelled with my retired law enforcement ID and still had to follow the rules.

It's amazing how people can rationalize...I mean..was he maybe thinking.." Hey when the shooter shot and killed all those folks in Ft Lauderdale..his weapon was in checked baggage.. so"??? ....... I admit this is all a stretch but as you say...what was the guy thinking? Had to have a strong rationalization to do this imo
