You know no matter what if POTUS would just come out and say he was sorry if the conversation was taken that way. He didn't mean to offend the family and he loss weighs heavily on him (or something like that) this could blow over in a short time.
Apologies go along way.
Why is it so difficult for him? He would come up a notch if he did apologize.

SPC Erich Guenther Wow. At worst, she's guilty of poor phone etiquette. By every account, the Sgt was a stellar solder and a good man who loved his family, including his wife. The man's surrogate mother was in the car, so why shouldn't she be allowed to hear the expected words of comfort? You're making baseless accusations because there is no defense of this.
