Perhaps my favorite President. For the most part, FDR kept him in the dark, so he had a vertical learning curve when he took over the Office, and though stunned by the enormity of the task ahead, he never wavered. Stubborn, practical, and honest, he was loved by most and despised by many. He may still hold the record for the most books checked out from The Library of Congress.

Thanks TSgt Joe C. for letting us know that on Boxing Day 1972 former President Harry S. Truman died at home in Independence, Missouri.
