Old Man Statement, Day 135, 19 March 2023
Mr. Burk is so old...he can tell you what happened before the big bang.
(What happened before? Who knows but this still shows my age!)

Interesting thing today. For those of you who read yesterday's old man statement. I wanted to see how much attention students paid to what is written on the board. For one class (not the one the student who gave me the quote) I asked who knew the date of the construction of the Parthenon. If anyone could tell me I offered them two bonus points on the next quiz. A girl spoke up and said, "I know" and got out her notebook! She wrote down the quote! So I asked her if she wrote down all the quotes. "No, just the really good ones!" I had no idea that she was writing these down.
