So many stories or theories have come to light concerning this event. In one it started out to be a kidnapping gone wrong. Another was most of the officers in the administration were to be killed at the same time. It is even said that Booth was not killed but escaped and lived a long and happy life only to make a deathbed confession prior to his death. The only thing that can be verified is that Booth did kill President Lincon. Great history share.
