Our August 19th Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) was twenty-nine years in the making: "Saturn 1993-2022." Twenty-nine Earth years is how long it takes for the planet Saturn to complete one orbit about our Sun. The journey begins in the constellation Capricornus (upper right) in 1993 and runs from right to left. In 2007, we continue (from right to left) in the constellation Leo, and end back where we started from in the constellation Capricornus. The astrophotographer responsible for this APOD is featured on a page hosted by The World At Night (twanight.org). If you've got a few spare minutes, check him out. He's got some phenomenal work posted.
