I'll stop driving before I buy an EV... and that might be exactly what they're after. Keep people from traveling on their own... need permission to fly, bus whatever, then they have total control like China.

my wife and I just returned from a 2 week road trip to the east coast. We put on 4000 miles and in that time period we only saw a couple of them and they were in the city. can not imagine what it would be like to spend a couple hrs charging that thing, but a 10 min stop to refuel and buy some goodies and on the road again

Regardless of the push from this administration, people don't want these things.

I do think people want them but in practical applications and not forced. My F150 with 170K miles has a head gasket problem and it was time for a new vehicle. I was looking at 50miles round trip in San Antonio for work, 250miles a week and spent just over $30K on an EV. I love it. When I drive to my hangar, the Bolt fits nicely under my wing (C172), and I dont have to move her when I go fly. Will it replace my F150 or Jeep Wrangler, not in my life time.
