I second CPT Zachary Brooks - Not going to happen! I have seen the videos of the Australian Army's tests of Chemical Agents on Soldiers.

MSG Sand, we are in the same boat on this one: We have that 11-series identifier, therefore we are classified as something other than human, or at least mentally deficient. Kinda surprising though, considering guys in Light Infantry and Special Operations chaps have some of the highest ASVAB scores in the military. I know I had a higher GT score than every single Enlisted Soldier in the MI BN I was detached to, when I was in Korea. when my recruiter found out I got a 128, he was trying to get me to go into pretty much any field other than Infantry. I told him to quit talking and put that 11X identifier on my enlistment paperwork, because there are only 2 jobs in the Army: tip of the spear, and the support shaft. Lol I'll never understand how everyone thinks we have the easiest job in the military, when a good Infantryman has to be able to do their job, all the jobs of the guys around them, and be knowledgeable in almost every other job... Infantry = underpaid, overworked, under appreciated, underestimated, but never overwhelmed!
As to the original question, no way in hell! I trust Army doctors almost as little as I trust Army intelligence... I only trust Intel less, because if it weren't for them screwing the pooch, I never would have had to deal with Army doctors!!!

Last line made me LOL. My glib remark about being human actually had nothing to do with Infantry and everything to do with those who have read my other posts? Sometimes the truth seems cold and uncaring...because it is, it is the truth.
I actually respect Army doctors...but they are still doctors and doctors kill more people than the Infantry.

Oh, I could sense the sarcasm. Everything else is just institutional pride. I've read many of your other posts, and picked up on that. I respected my medis, especially after they saved my life, but a butter bar at the CSH sent me back to my unit with a broken neck and brain damage, with nothing on my paperwork but "birth defect". Never did get an explanation for that one, but luckily one of the trauma docs on Rustimayah was a nuero specialist, and told my leadership there was absolutely no way in hell I was to be sent back out in sector, so I spent the last 3 months of my deployment manning a radio in my company TOC and wandering around the FOB without a clue who I was. That led to some interesting times, during mortar attacks:) So, I'm mainly just biased towards a few individuals, not all. Now dentists, on the other hand....

Absolutely. I say this because the study will want to keep you alive at all costs. There is too much to lose if they just have someone infected and they die. If it is a military program and I die, there are measures in place to care for my family. First, I have been in several near death experiences that should have resulted in my expiration. Second, I am too stubborn to die. Third, I deal with pain and discomfort really well, and I think I would make an excellent test subject.
No worries here. I would just like to have the confidence that the government won't shelf the program on a whim and make my suffering for naught.
