According to former U.S. Attorney Joyce Vance, a recent plea deal agreed to by one of Donald Trump's 18 co-defendants in the Georgia racketeering trial should be keeping the former president -- and other alleged key co-conspirators -- up at night as the clock is ticking on the first upcoming trial.
In a column for MSNBC, the former federal prosecutor wrote the deal that Georgia bail bondsmen Scott Hall was extremely generous which indicates he has provided prosecutors with key evidence that will likely create a domino effect leading other co-defendants to rush to grab their own "sweetheart deals."
With well-connected Hall tied to the fake elector scheme, Vance wrote that former Trump lawyer Sidney Powell should be most alarmed by the plea deal -- which she called "very good" for the defendant -- and that in turn should make her consider making a deal of her own.

...""There are only so many sweetheart deals to go around; prosecutors' need for witnesses on any given point is limited. And typically, those defendants who are 'first in' get the best deals," she wrote.
"Does Powell want to run the risk a sentence of five to 20 years in a Georgia state prison? Or might she decide it’s time to cut her losses and testify to what she knows about Trump?" she wrote making that case that it "should be keeping former President Donald Trump up at night."
