I just had to share this link, and the email that brought it to me. Yes, the email (quoted below) is full of hyperbole to induce us to click the link. And yet... We heard much the same, didn't we? I wonder how much toilet paper was sold in preparation for THE ECLIPSE. Doesn't it feel like this is the Dark Ages rather than 2024? Climate Catastrophe. Pandemic. Are you as tired of the fear mongering as I am?
"Like many people yesterday, I watched the solar eclipse on TV…
Truth be told, if I didn’t have kids, I probably couldn’t have cared less about it.
"I realize there were parties all across America and that people thought it was the greatest thing ever…
But it wasn’t something that I was counting down the minutes for waiting with bated breath.
"I did receive a lot of emails where people were predicting all sorts of crazy things that were going to happen yesterday.
These included…
"--that the sun would be permanently blocked, and we’d never have sunlight again
"--massive earthquakes would kick off simultaneously killing millions
"--cell phone and internet service would go down forever
"And these were some of the tamer emails I received.
"Do you know what I thought every time I read one of these emails?
"I thought I sure as heck hope that nothing truly crazy happens, but if it does, this is why I prepare.
"I’ve been preparing for years, so I have peace of mind.
"I don’t have to worry about running out of food for a significantly long time…
"I have a ton of water storage and access to rivers, lakes and a well…
"I have a strong arsenal of guns to protect my family from looters and home invaders…
"And, I’ve got all types of generators to give my family power.
"But most importantly, preparation is not a one-time event for me.
"It’s a lifestyle.
"It’s something that I always do since sometimes I eat my food storage and I need to replenish it…
"Or if I go to the shooting range and shoot a bunch of ammo, I have to buy more.
"So, make your preparation a lifestyle that way you have peace of mind for when the next serious crisis occurs.
"If you want, you can come into my basement and see my complete setup of food, water storage and bug out bags.
"Come inside my house here. [Link provided]

To each his or her own, glad I live in a society where that is an option. I just enjoyed the afternoon with my Brother and Sister out to my home for lunch, chit chat, cards and see the eclipse as one of Gods wonders.

It appears that today's topics on social media are severe headaches, insomnia, etc caused by the eclipse. I'm with you. Chatted pleasantly with neighbors as the Eclipse passed unseen on the other side of the clouds

The emergency rooms at a local hospital were full yesterday to overflowing. Some blamed it on the eclipse
