As you may have heard, the DoD recently announced that transferability of the Post-9/11 GI Bill to eligible family members will be limited to those with less than 16 years of service. IAVA has a petition available for those opposed to this move to send a letter to Secretary Mattis (See Take Action link). Also, yesterday, a bipartisan group of House Members called on DoD to back off the new plan. See letter here: https://www.militarytimes.com/veterans/2018/07/30/lawmakers-demand-pentagon-leaders-drop-plans-to-limit-gi-bill-transfers/

It is quite appalling to penalize the career soldiers who have paid their dues to the military. It is completely outrageous to take those benefits to give to the new recruits.
