RP'ers hit the range this morning. Had the Canik Rival out. 10yds top 15 rounds Hornady Critical Defense rounds, others were 147gn range ammo. Target was already there so why waste another ;-) Not the tightest groups but not hatful either.

With that pattern I could have used you next to me on the range a few times......you know, a beer for every time you swing off target left or right :-))

"Not the tightest groups." WTF?! At ten Yards the FBI says you are lucky to hit center of mass, you hit the center of doggone buttons! Remind me never to: a) break into your home unexpectedly. b) piss you off.

SGT (Join to see) - I remember my brother in law (Korean War Vet) telling my sister how to use his 12 gauge shotgun if there is a problem:
"AnnMarie, just point the barrel at the problem. Pull the trigger. If there is any problem left it will be behind you. "

SGT Kevin Hughes - Lol, good brother in law advice.
I carried an old winchester 12 on guard duty at Bragg, we were told it was a WWI issue. It was a pump, had a hammer, and a bayonet lug, like the one in the picture.
Guard duty had stupid orders, we were told not to put rounds in the shotgun, only till we needed it. If that happened, we'll be dead before we loaded it, we guarded a wooden building with alot of wire around it, out in the sticks on post, with weapons in it.

SGT (Join to see) - Man that thing looks nasty...and heavy! I think I shall post a story about what happened when I was supposed to check out why so many troops were on Guard Duty.

SGT Kevin Hughes - We were on guard duty at Bragg due to all infantry battalions had a post support rotation of 3 months each during the year.
During post support, we did all the guard duty on Bragg, also we did training to other units, like I taught first year SF guys (B-team), ambushs of small patrols, the M-79 and 203, also, we did riot control training, and supported the parachute riggers, which was a ditry job. The riggers hung up the chutes, and us gound pounders shook out all the sticks, dirt and stuff, while standing under the chutes.
