I have roughly 10 acres to build on. I know I would have to get a septic tank on it and get a power connection from the road. I am just more so asking about the actual house portion. Is it worth the hassle?

Well, choosing between building from scratch and going prefab is a big decision. With 10 acres to work with, you've got tons of potential! Personally, I'm all about that custom vibe. Building your own place means you can make it exactly how you want, down to the last detail. Plus, with a home loan, you can finance the whole shebang. Before you decide, definitely check out some construction estimates to see what fits your budget. Oh, and if you're curious about prefab options, Bolster Built has some cool choices to explore: https://www.bolsterbuilt.com

So, you've got 10 acres of prime real estate to play with—nice one! That's the dream, right? But when it comes to the actual house, it's all about what you're after. Building from scratch means you can customize every little detail, from the layout to the finishes. It's like crafting your own slice of paradise.
