About 5 years ago, I got three broke down push mowers for free. Did a similar rig with two mowers up front and one mower centered in back. Beefed up the axles and the wheels. All total, I was about $275 into the rig. I still use it today to mow my horse and goat paddocks. A brand new mower deck to do the same job runs about $2500.
