3.) WHAT THE ARMED FORCES CAN, CAN’T, AND MIGHT DO AT THE BORDER
Ryan Burke | 11.20.18

Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA)
In response to requests from civil authorities, the armed forces can support state and local governments in accordance with law and DoD policy. Military operations under DSCA must be formally approved in most cases before the military can intervene. However, DoD can provide immediate support during no-notice or limited-notice incidents in order to “save lives, prevent human suffering, or mitigate great property damage.” Other operational requests such as support to special security events require formal approval processes but still fall under the DSCA purview (for more on defense support of special events, see DoD Instruction 3025.20). Military forces providing DSCA often interact with law enforcement, especially during incident response or high-profile security events. Given the sensitive nature of military involvement in law enforcement domestically, DoD Instruction 3025.21—in conjunction with Chapter 15 of Title 10 USC—establishes the guidance for what the armed forces can do in support of civilian law enforcement.

What Did the Founders Mean by "Invasion"?

Regardless of one’s personal disposition on immigration and military policy, the founders’ understanding of “invasion” did not pertain to mere travel or immigration from one country to another.

On the contrary, the most prominent English dictionary available, the most widely adopted legal dictionary in the American states, and other popular dictionaries of the era all held the term to mean the projection of a physical attack.

Consequently, the ability militarize United States borders to stop peaceful migration is not expressly granted through the originally ratified version of the Constitution.

1.) How many people have died in the Falun Gong?

Incomplete statistics indicate that, by April 12, 2000, there were 2,365 Falun Gong practitioners who have turned themselves into victims of the cult as a result of their crazing for Falun Gong: 1,559 of them died of suicide or rejecting medical treatment; 651 suffered from mental disorders; 11 killed others; and 144 became disabled.

2.) How The Epoch Times Created a Giant Influence Machine

Since 2016, the Falun Gong-backed newspaper has used aggressive Facebook tactics and right-wing misinformation to create an anti-China, pro-Trump media empire.

3.) Falun Gong fronts Anglo-American strategy against China

The power of Falun Gong”, documented the stark contradiction between Falun Gong’s professed Buddhist-based belief system of “spiritual growth through disciplined practice”, and the accounts of former practitioners, who alleged dangerous and divisive teachings.

In a 10 May 1999 interview with Time, Li claimed actual aliens were “corrupting mankind” through modern science, with the ultimate aim of cloning and replacing humans; Li enigmatically implied he himself was beyond human.

Falun Gong’s Anglo-American establishment connections

Interestingly, right-wing mainstream media promoters of Anglo-American foreign policy, including Sky News, Andrew Bolt, and The Australian, denounced the ABC exposé. This Anglo-American establishment support of Falun Gong is not exceptional—there is ongoing collaboration between the spiritual organisation and the neoconservative, pro-war establishment, well funded by US government money.

NFACR board members, Maree Ma and Dr Wai-ling Yeung, were also receiving funding from the US government, through their official roles in Decode China, a new Chinese language news site which shared a business address with Vision China Times. Decode China received US government funding through the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR), a strategic partner of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), which was established in 1983 to fund regimechange insurrections previously funded by the CIA. IWPR also funds ASPI, through a recent payment which was never publicly declared.

1.) Who are the undocumented?

Immigrants from Mexico have recently, for the first time since 1990, represented less than half of the undocumented population. According to Pew, in 2017, about 4.95 million of the 10.5 million undocumented population were from Mexico, 1.9 million from Central America, and 1.45 million from Asia. About two-thirds of undocumented immigrants have been in the U.S. for 10 years or longer. In 2017, just 20% of undocumented, adult immigrants had lived in the U.S. for 5 years or less.

In contrast to the President Trump’s rhetoric about building a wall at the Mexican border, illegal migration has shifted since 2010 from border-crossing to visa overstays—the latter share has been greater than border crossings since 2010. The Center for Migration Studies estimates that in 2016, 62% of the undocumented were here because they overstayed their visas versus 38% who crossed the border illegally.

* An often overlooked fact is that illegal immigrants are taxpayers. The anti-immigrant lobby tends to ignore the money the immigrants often pay in payroll and sales taxes while counting the money spent on educating children born in the United States to immigrants. Numbers vary widely depending on the source, but undocumented immigrants are not eligible for most federal benefit programs, like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. In evaluating the cost of illegal immigration, the voter has to make sure that the argument takes in both benefits consumed and taxes paid.

DHS Reports Record Number of Overstays in 2022

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has quietly published an overdue overstay report showing that more than 850,000 foreign visitors overstayed their authorized stay in FY2022, which is probably a record high. A more detailed analysis of the numbers is forthcoming, but here are the highlights:

Your attempt to diminish the crisis at our southern border is tantamount to treason. Aiding and abetting the enemy. Your lies and half-truths betray your anti-American sentiment. BTW, Trump is no longer President and hasn't been President for over three years. It's time to take responsibility for Sleepy Joe & Co., who on the first day of his administration, as promised, reversed all of President Trump's border policies, which were working.

1.) Do Not Lie or attempt to twist what I’ve posted.

2.) That information that you ve posted comes directly from U.S. Government Agencies that ACTUALLY TRACK immigration, and not give opinions.

3.) Respond with FACTS to disprove what I’ve posted.

The boarder issue has been ongoing and no one singular administration is fully responsible.

Again post FACTS to debunk what George W. Bush Sr. administration supported and the presidential cabinets afterwards.

Also be responsible and don’t cherry pick when former presidents polices matter or not.

My response to ALL of those that call what I post misinformation : RESPOND WITH FACTS to disprove what I’ve posted or just keep showing how :

1.) DHS, VA Launch New Online Services for Noncitizen Service Members, Veterans, and Their Families

“Veterans qualify for VA benefits based on their service to our country and never on their immigration status,” said Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough. “We are proud to work with our partners at DHS and DoD to honor the service of immigrant and noncitizen Veterans by ensuring that they have access to information about the care and services available to them.”

The new one-stop resource center will consolidate resources and forms from DHS, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other agencies so noncitizen service members, veterans, and their families are able to easily find any needed forms and resources.

2.) DHS, VA Announce Initiative to Support Noncitizen Service Members, Veterans, and Immediate Family Members

“Together with our partner the Department of Veterans Affairs, we are committed to bringing back military service members, veterans, and their immediate family members who were unjustly removed and ensuring they receive the benefits to which they may be entitled. Today we are taking important steps to make that a reality.”

“It’s our responsibility to serve all veterans as well as they have served us – no matter who they are, where they are from, or the status of their citizenship,” said Secretary McDonough. “Keeping that promise means ensuring that noncitizen service members, veterans, and their families are guaranteed a place in the country they swore an oath – and in many cases fought – to defend. We at VA are proud to work alongside DHS as to make that happen.”

3.) Home
* Secretary's Priorities
* The Immigrant Military Members and Veterans Initiative, and how VA supports immigrant Veterans

The Immigrant Military Members and Veterans Initiative (IMMVI) launched in July 2021 when VA partnered with the Department of Homeland Security to consolidate relevant federal resources for noncitizen service members, Veterans and their families, caregivers and survivors. The Initiative also launched a portal for Veterans who need assistance in applying to return to the United States and for accessing VA benefits to which they may be entitled.

Late last month, as the VA lead for IMMVI, I joined the DHS team to visit deported Veterans, stakeholders and recently repatriated Veterans to promote
the new online tools that would help them. The trip included stops in California, Texas, and Tijuana, Mexico.

SOURCE : https://news.va.gov/102866/the-immigrant-military-members-and-veterans-initiative-and-how-va-supports-immigrant-veterans/

* Who is eligible for benefits?

All eligible Veterans are entitled to VA benefits regardless of their immigrant status. The same applies to those who live abroad.

Unfortunately, identifying these Veterans – especially deported Veterans – has been challenging.

VA has worked closely with LULAC, Repatriate our Patriots, American GI Forum and the American Legion for assistance, and with DHS to identify Veterans who have been deported and those who have been repatriated.

1.) Visa Overstays Exceed Illegal Border Crossings for Seventh Year in a Row

The report, US Undocumented Population Continued to Fall from 2016 to 2017, and Visa Overstays Significantly Exceeded Illegal Crossings for the Seventh Consecutive Year, shows that the majority of illegal immigration is attributable to persons who overstay their visa versus those who cross the border without a proper entry process and inspection.

Visa overstays exceeded illegal entries as the source of undocumented migrants for the seventh year in a row. Illegal entries across the southern border also decreased in 2017. Mexican nationals accounted for less than half of these entries, though individuals from Mexico accounted for more visa overstays than any other country. This study shows that the majority of these individuals arrive into the US via air travel.

3.) The 2,000 Mile Wall in Search of a Purpose: Since 2007 Visa Overstays have Outnumbered Undocumented Border Crossers by a Half Million

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Trump administration has made the construction of an “impregnable” 2,000-mile wall across the length of the US-Mexico border a centerpiece of its executive orders on immigration and its broader immigration enforcement strategy. This initiative has been broadly criticized based on:

“It finds that two-thirds of those who arrived in 2014 did not illegally cross a border, but were admitted (after screening) on non-immigrant (temporary) visas, and then overstayed their period of admission or otherwise violated the terms of their visas. Moreover, this trend in increasing percentages of visa overstays will likely continue into the foreseeable future.”
