Funny how a picture can make you remember a smell. I posted a picture of a Cap Gun from my childhood because I can still remember the smell of the caps after they are ignited. So here are some others I remember hope your memories are as good as mine are from these...

MSgt Dale Johnson The mind is an amazing thing to trigger memories (both good and bad), a smell, sound, word, sight all can bring things back up from your past experiences.

I just had that experience the other day. The lady across the street brought her new baby home. I got to hold the little guy. And just like that "new car smell" you find in cars, brand new babies have a unique : clean, fresh, and light, smell (Unless they are filling a diaper). So of course, holding my own kids as babies memories flared up.

Oh my Gosh, Dale, I loved the smell of my "cap gun". Sometimes I would just roll the caps out on the ground, and use a rock to set them off. Smells are powerful memory triggers. That a picture can trigger a smell, is one of those quirks of the Human Brain that I think are wonderful.
