I lived there for almost three years and I can tell you this is absolutely true.

3 years, you must know the place very well. It's difficult to see destruction in places that we know.

They are working through some pain now. Usually after a natural disaster communities come together. I pray that is the case here.

Lived thru the earthquakes in the Philippines. I spent two weeks at an epicenter helping with relief efforts. The recent video on Turkey brought back some very bad memories. Glad they have not shown more video of the gruesome aspects.

You've seen the worst of it. While I've worked through flood events, I never worked an earthquake. From what I've seen in pictures and textbooks it much more difficult to access and evaluate the damaged area in earthquakes. I hope these people have good Leadership to get them through this.

SFC (Join to see) - Worked all sorts of natural disasters. By far the worse are earthquakes and volcanos.
