In ait as a reclass to 91a. Waiting on orders/projections. Still haven't arrived on ippsa and have been in class for over 2 months. DS is tracking, COC is tracking, supposedly the training room is tracking. Brought it up in an AAR on the course. Not the only one in my class with this issue. What do I do next? What CAN I do next? Trying my hardest to solve this before I graduate.

To solve it? Nothing. You stated your Drill is tracking, your Chain of Command is tracking and that this is a problem affecting more than just you.

You'll have to trust that your leadership is addressing a systematic problem. You could respectfully suggest to your DS that it would alleviate some anxiety from you and your other affected classmates if a quick periodic status could be given until resolved.

That's about the answer I've been getting from other avenues I've sought advice from. It's just tough when you're trying to plan for the future such as housing and what not so I can give my family that peace of mind. Good ol army with the hurry up and wait routine.

Sadly, and I know this is not what you'd want to hear, but the only thing you can do is wait.

If you do not come on orders prior to graduation, then you'd stay with your AIT company as a Hold Over until your orders do come in. But, time is still on your side as your AIT 16 weeks. Mayhap you'll have orders before the end of your 3rd month.

Maybe HRC doesn't want to waste time/slot until the Know you will pass course. and by that time maybe they will have a firm handle on that MOS Army wide.

I get this train of thought, except there are soldiers/trainees who are projected/slotted for duty stations already while some of us havent even shown up arriving to ait on ippsa. It brings to question where the disconnect is happening in the chain of people responsible for that being verified and completed.

SPC Jared Distel - To give you an idea as to how much a headache things can be when dealing with something as simple as pushing a button in IPPS-A.

I was slotted into a MSG slot at a 2-Star command preceding a deployment, but was allowed to hold off until deployment was over. I was attached with the deploying unit. I get done with the deployment and the the powers that be that are in charge of that slot I was put into by folks at a higher level than them had no idea who I was. I had to initiate a transfer request in IPPS-A for a slot that was already mine. That transfer request still took over a month to process.

Remember, while IPPS-A is, in design, a simpler process, it still boils down to the people in front of the computers that have to click a button IOT close the loop. It sucks. but it is a soggy sh*t sandwich that we all have to take a huge bite of from time to time.
