Cpl Vic Burk - You are most welcome. I really have no choice in this matter. I would be a failure and remiss if I did nothing. :)

Cpl Vic Burk - Irony is I am probably the only person on earth who is glad to have PTSD because I could empathize with people who are afflicted by it. Here is the genesis to the PTSD book I wrote. In my 18th year on AD PTSD hit me hard, very hard. I felt the full spectrum of horrific PTSD experiences. They were invaluable experiences although I would not want to go through them again.

None of the psychologists could help me let alone give me a campaign plan for healing. I randomly tried things to heal myself. Some worked, some did not. I finally settled on making myself less depressed, mitigating and reducing the PTSD symptoms, then the trauma would be easier to contend with. When I healed 160 degrees, I wanted to know if the healing methodology could be used on others with PTSD. I found a couple E-7s with PTSD and worked with them. They were smiling and laughing after 4 months of coaching them. Then I knew I had something.

I made it a goal to write the PTSD healing book before I retired. That is the edition I have been giving out. Therefore, it is not my best writing because I wanted to jam through the endeavor and finish it as quickly as possible. All I can say is sometimes gut feelings and intuitions are absolutely right. I am rewriting the book now and I can logically explain and describe the methodology I wrote down. I am compelled to do my best on the rewrite because I know people with PTSD need help. I feel morally obligated to offer my coaching.

MAJ Ken Landgren - As you know, I read your book. I'm no English major but to me it all made sense. It's written in a perspective that only a person who was inflicted with PTSD themself could write.

Cpl Vic Burk - Thanks for the perspective. Perhaps I should ditch the thesaurus. hahaha

When I was in the Army Reserve. We are often had classes on this.

This could help former Devil Dogs as well!

I already had a career and I was a National Guard/Army Reserve who served an Iraq in Afghanistan.

There are handouts that go with these slides. But I don't have them with me. You can look up the definitions of each and it helps keep you grounded.

Stay sober and stay away from drug and this will also mitigate suicide.
