Thinking about reclassing to 68F from 12N, but my GT is only 106 and my ST is sitting at 107. i am currently 2 years and 3 months in the service and was wondering if i could get a GT waiver seeing as though im only one point away from the required goal. I Love what i do as a horizontal engineer, but being in the military as given me more time to see where my true passion lies, im very interested in physical fitness as i want to become a master fitness trainer and i believe that this will be a huge stepping stone in my career as it will give me more drive in what i do.

This would be an excellent question to ask a Career Counselor. They are the SME.

On the Go Army website for Physical Therapy Specialist it says: "What can I do if I don’t meet the eligibility requirements to join?
The Army has a waiver process that you can take advantage of to prove you overcame a disqualifying issue that would otherwise prevent you from joining the Army. After submitting a waiver, a review takes place to make sure you can join. If your waiver is denied, you can also look into pursuing a civilian career within the Army."

You should talk to the career cournselor to see if you can retake it to try to get a higher score since you need it to be a certain score to reclass.

You can be a Master Fitness Trainer without having that MOS though. Or you could use TA to get a degree in something related to that career even. If you haven't used TA yet.

The GT for each MOS is already set at a minimum GT score for that job. I’ve never heard of a waiver. But there use to be a classification test you could take while on active duty to increase your scores. I would talk to your career counselor about your options.
