He may be found not guilty of deserting, but he disobeyed orders, left his post, and put the men he left in danger, and those looking for him were injured. If he gets back on the streets he better watch himself. In the public eye he's a traitor. Some bat crazy vet with PTSD might not like what he did, and got away with. I'm just sayin.
