Writing should be about your heart, your soul, your mind, and the spirit that moves you write. I write because I have always loved to write. What about you? Here is a poem I wrote for my wife many years ago:

 

 

This is my very best friend,

A very good lover,

One of the best listeners I know,

A super talented woman,

A warm and caring person,

Someone so special that she is like rare art

If ever lost it may never be found again.

Rare art, as are rare people mean more to us

When we know their beauty and cannot possess it,

But have some amount of time to even touch it

Or gaze upon it for an instant.

When a man is so lucky to have such a treasure –

He should pray thanks for such a gift!
