Hello just wanted some advice. I asked my drills if I can take leave so I can walk my sister down the hallway for her wedding since our father past away. I’m in AIT and already graduated and now being a hold and I won’t leave until July 1st and her wedding is on June 7th

Depends on why you're being held there that long after graduation.
Are you waiting for assignment orders, or was the hold due to medical or UCMJ?

Also, when did you graduate, because no one with your name is currently in the DoD.

Sounds like mommy daddy games here. Person is asking similar questions in other forums. Doesn't like the answer but can't find a loophole. I bet they asked on Army WTF also lol.

It appears you have issues that have held you over, not likely for routine medical. If there are other reasonings for your status and you do not share, we cannot provide the proper insight. More info needed.

What will need to be done is a Absence Request (Leave Request) submitted in IPPS-A. If you're currently a Hold Over and the Leave will NOT impact any training, then there shouldn't be too much a worry.....but the approval is still up to your Company Commander of the training unit you're currently in

SSG Brian L. - I'm feeling there is more to it than what is presented, but I will refrain from guessing as it's got me into trouble in the past.

MSG (Join to see) - There is always more to the story than what we are getting here. That's half the fun.

SGM (Join to see) - I won't kid myself or anyone else....but when I read some of the questions and comments from juniors....I tend to ask myself "was I like this?"

MSG (Join to see) - No I highly doubt it. I left the trail in 2022 and have pages of stories of trainees trying to lawyer the simplest things and levels of entitlement that if channeled could cure cancer. No way this existed ten plus years ago. I mean also they didn't have all of these "go arounds" trying to get the answers they want.
