Sarai Holguin (left), Mireya Nelson (top right), and James Lemons (bottom right) all retained a bullet or bullet fragments after being shot at the Chiefs Super Bowl Parade in Kansas City, Missouri, in February. Recovery from those wounds is intensely personal and includes a surprising gray area in medicine: whether the bullets should be removed
Despite the rise of gun violence in America, few medical guidelines exist on removing bullets from survivors’ bodies. In the second installment of our series “The Injured,” we meet three people shot at the Kansas City Super Bowl parade who are dealing with the bullets inside them in different ways.

SGT Kevin Hughes Too Many Guns and Village Idiots with Easy Access! As a Security Officer, Whenever I See a NRA Sticker on a Vehicle at an Event, Just an Open Invitation to have Your Vehicle Broken into! "I Attended this Event and I Brought My Weapon but I Can't Bring it into the Venue, Please Break into My Vehicle and Steal It so You can Commit More Violent Crimes" I See the NRA Sticker as a Giant Neon Sign for a Village Idiot!

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - One of the many reasons I don't carry a gun, is simply this: I make bad decisions with time to think, how much worse would I be with no time to think with a gun in my hand. I do know several people who pulled a trigger when triggered...and most of them regret it.
