Can’t remember if I posted this but it’s deserved posting again, we just got a new dentist at the Robert Dole VA and he did wonderful work.after my daughter’s wedding, they are going to work on the top.i hope dentists are giving up their private practices to work with veterans. Brick and mortar is expensive! So much of our health depends on our teeth and it’s the last thing we get: when we finally reach the coveted 100% I didn’t think I would live to see the day, but here I am.
So I’m setting my sites on dental care for those who need it and enough staff to keep behavioral health accessible. The wait times are still long. I see progreee when I go, older men are involved in therapy and I hope it’s helping. We need to reach the younger population. Perhaps if some scholarships were offered, we could increase the benefit to those sitting on the train tracks waiting for the light.I’ve seen a couple of younger people but mostly we older people are using this service and the benefits. I know it’s hard to imagine but those retiring are in their early 40s and will suffer from what they have seen and what they’ve been exposed to, let’s find the resources before it’s too late, it’s been over 30 years since the beginning of operation Desert Shield/Storm. I am very fortunate because I cracked a few more teeth on yogurt and was able to get temporary repairs.
