I was a police officer for a total of 30 years. I spent 28 1/2 years with the Fort Worth Police Dept. During that time I was a patrol officer, detective, and supervisor (sergeant). I was an MP during my initial 3 years on active duty with the US Army from 1980 to 1983. I joined the Army Reserve in 1989 as an MP. I joined CID in 1996. I retired from Reserves in 2006. One tour in Kosovo and Iraq. Texas Peace Officer, Master level certification. 30 years certified with TCLEOSE. Harris County Law Enforcement Academy- 1984. Fort Worth Police Academy- 1985. Reid Techniques of Interview and Interrogation course- 1997. SCAN (Scientific Content Analysis) course- 2001. Over 11 years as a detective and 5 years as a sergeant.

Reserve CID unit based at Fort Worth, then Grand Prairie, TX. Deployed to Kosovo in 2002- 2003. Deployed to Iraq 2004-2005. Retired in 2006 as a CW3. Attended Protective Services school, Crisis Negotiator school, WOCS, WOBC.

Reserve MP unit. Deployed to Ft Hood, TX for Desert Storm. Went to Honduras for 2 weeks. Also went to Guatemala for 2 weeks.

Performed MP duties, mainly in 1st Cav area. Deployed to Ft Chaffee, Arkansas to guard the Cuban refugees from the Mariel Boatlift, who Castro shipped to the U.S. I also spent a month at NTC, Ft Irwin.
