I joined the Navy on Jan. 1970. Became an AME after A school and was sent to VP-47 at Moffett Field, CA and served with them my full active duty tour. I was discharged Jan. 1974 and remained out for 8yrs. but rejoined the Navy on Jan. 1982 as a Seabee with NMCB-15 for 19yrs. reaching the rank of E5. I passed the E6 tests for 5yrs. only to be PNA'd each time because of no openings. Getting out 5-92

AME and UT

VP-47 and NMCB-15 | Moffett Federal Airfield, CA and Lincoln, NE

VP47 - Aircraft Egress systems. Maintenance and replacement. Also flew as and observer on some flights. NMCB15 - Utility systems specialist. Squad leader.

Deployments

Adak, Guam, Stateside

With VP47 I went on two deployments. One to Adak, Alaska for 6 1/2 mos. And the second on a rotating deployment to Adak, Guam, and Moffett Field. With NMCB15 a reserve unit, I was on acdutra at many military bases through out stateside and Hawaii.
