Platoon Sergeant
Plt Sgt - got sideways with the Co Commander who was jealous of my combat experience (officers needed combat experience to advance) and rode my ass. Instead of re-enlisting for a new duty assignment and going back to Germany, I let the allure of a civilian law enforcement officer overcome me.

MP and MPI - Squad Leader and Plt Sergeant
Started on Patrol, advanced to MPI. Also served as squad leader when made SGT E-5. Promoted to SSG E-6 and became Plt SGT - unit NCOIC. Co HQ was in Bamberg and we were based 40 miles away with operational area approx 900 square miles.
