Maintenance Control NCO
Began in NAS Memphis after S.D. Boot. Then NAS Sanford, Fl. Then the "sucking Sara" for the last part of Med cruise. Ended at NAS Albany engine overhaul after a one month Sara stay.
Out of MOS Maintenance Control as senior 2nd class until March '69 when I was reassigned to the "engine shop" as chief mechanic. This was with a spy squadron, RVAH-9, flying Vigilantes. "Stood the deck" (manned the flight deck) during the EC-121 shootdown saber-rattling, April 1969.
