Bio
Born & raised in NE Iowa, joined Army a month after HS. Had a great time the 12yrs I was Active. Problem was PCS'd too often, 9 units in 12yrs. Would have did 20 if I could have stayed @ Bragg. After ETS, moved to TX, got into Telecom, loving it. Have 2 boys on their own. Oldest is pending his OBC, then to TX NG as Butter Bar via ROTC @ UNT (University of North TX)

Got to do Re-Trans Commo. Stayed in field/top of hills as often as I could. Garrison sucked.
Built & used field expediant VHF antennas. Good unit, great soldiers.

Wasn't needed. Took several college course. I was in charge of Fat Boy PT. Since I had a computer, I setup/fixed everyone's email. Then was "moved" to another unit on other side of Camp Casey. Good unit, great people.

Came back to 112th to try to get SOCK slot. Didn't get one, but went to Korea anyway.

Zimbabwe
Deployed with BN FOB. Went thru Jump Master school, I was Distinguished Honor Graduate. Did an FTX and a Bell helo Jump w/the Zimbawe troops to get our Zimbabwe Jump wings.
Very awesome 2 month deployment!

Haiti
Operation Restore Democracy for FOB 3-3 (Gonaives) RTO for 2 1/2 months, then worked w/ODA for a few weeks, did a couple patrols, then went up top mountain above Cap Haitien & did Retrans for 3 months. Did HF shots/MARS calls to States. Looking back now, it was good times.

Turkey
NATO exercise in Western Turkey @ Turkish AF base. With Navy Seabees & a BN from Berlin BDE. My Maint BN supported the tent city, me & my team got good at putting up GP Mediums and GP Larges. Just hung out for about 2 months & played a lot of Bones. Also saw Old boss (Henderson) who was with Berlin BDE. Also got an R&R tour of some city.
