Bio 

Lieutenant Colonel Ernest D. Meadows III is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1995 as a Helicopter Crewmember. In 1998, he earned an appointment to the United States Military Academy, graduated in 2002 and was commissioned in the Army as a Second Lieutenant in the Military Police Corps. His first assignment was as a platoon leader with the 258th Military Police (MP) Company, 519th MP Bn at Ft. Polk, LA to include deployments in support of Operations NOBLE EAGLE and ENDURING FREEDOM. After receiving a unique opportunity in 2005 to attend the Army Engineers Captains Career Course at Ft Leonard Wood, MO, he deployed again in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM from October 2005 to December 2006 as a MP Advisor to 2d Bn, 8th Bde Iraqi National Police Transition Team in support of 2d Bn, 506th Infantry Reg at Ft Campbell, KY. In 2007, LTC Meadows was assigned to the 21st Theater Sustainment Command in Germany as the Force Protection officer, then selected in 2008 to command of the 92d MP Co, 95th MP Bn in Baumholder, Germany where he consolidated the company by closing Darmstadt and Hanau Kasernes while simultaneously training for the unit’s deployment to Afghanistan in the spring of 2009. Upon return in 2010, LTC Meadows was reassigned to the 21st TSC Provost Marshal Operations Officer and then the Deputy Provost Marshal before being selected as a Tactical Officer and Instructor at the United States Military Academy from 2011 – 2014. Upon departing he was assigned to the 82d Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina as an Operations Officer and Maneuver Planner until May 2015. Following a change of leadership, he was selected to serve as the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion Executive Officer and Rear Detachment Bn Commander from May – October 2015 before being deployed forward to Iraq in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE until March 2016. After returning from Iraq, he was reassigned as OPS Officer for the 503d MP Bn (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina until July 2017. After the transition to Japan, served as the Deputy Director of Emergency Services from July 2017 - April 2019.
