Here it is four O'Clock in the morning, and I find myself wide awake. With an emotion I rarely experience...worry. This growing old stuff throws a lot of curves at us old fogies. Today, after a walk around the Lake at the Park near us, I told my wife I was going to take a shower to clean off all the sunblock I have to wear.

I have those Irish genes that require me to goop up every exposed area of flesh. One time I was at the beach getting goop smeared all over me, and a Surfer kid waxing his board looked over at me and said: "Why don't you just go indoors?"

That made me laugh. But what happened this afternoon - did not. Later my wife and I were watching a Documentary, and when it was over, I asked her if I had taken a shower. She said she thought I did. But for the life of me, I couldn't remember.
So I went back to take a Shower. When I went to dry off, the towel was still wet from when I took that earlier shower. The shower I didn't remember taking. That's never happened before. I know it is a little thing, but it threw me for a loop.
I can remember things from my childhood, or youth. But this morning and yesterday are becoming harder and harder to remember. I am not sure what caused this lapse of memory. I just went on a new medicine ten days ago, and we have a big long road trip in a few weeks, so maybe it was stress over that. Or maybe, it was just a glitch in the old beanie.
I am having sort of a flashback to when I turned sixty five, and for the life of me, I couldn't figure out the difference between things I could do, and couldn't do anymore. Was it because of aging? Or was it because I wasn't working hard enough? Sometimes I couldn't figure out which it was. I used to do fifty pushups every morning, and when that first dropped to forty, was it because I was lazy, or was it because I was old? Now I am down to twenty every morning. And most of them wouldn't count if a DI was watching. Plus my belly touches way before my chest. Chest? Ha! Man boobs!
What did that famous Movie Star say? (I can't remember her name right now...surprise. LOL) Something like:

"Growing old is not for sissies."

Yeah. I agree.

Just Wait Until You Reach My Age; And Carbon Dated To Be"'6 YEARS Older Than DIRT":
But "W H A T, Me Worry"?,,,Well Let's Take A Look At What I Was Taught In My Early Teens
"IF You Have A Problem And You CAN DO Something About It, By All Means, DO IT'!!
IF However There IS Nothing You CAN DO...Here's A Good Suggestion: "Learn To Live With It In PEACE".... "Anything Less, Will Only Drive You Crazy" ~~ Besides: It's The ONLY Logical Choice.
