Israeli spokesperson, Avi Hyman freezes as Piers Morgan asks him how many Palestinian civilians had been killed by Israeli forces since the Hamas attacks on 7 October.
During the interview on Tuesday (7 May), Mr Morgan claimed "that's complete nonsense" in response to M Hyman saying he knew the figures but was not authorised to disclose them.
The row was followed by a very awkward silence, broken only by the presenter asking again if he had any explanation.
Israel is under growing pressure after its decision to invade Rafah in southern Gaza, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have sought refuge amidst the conflict.

Let him freeze, let him talk...I DON'T CARE...Gaza and the Palestinians have brought all of this on themselves...I don't like civilian casualties but I also do not trust ANY NUMBER THE PALESTINIANS OR HAMAS STATE OR GIVE...The Koran tells them it is ok to lie to advance their message especially during Jihad which is what this is...wiping and annihalating every Jewish person from the earth. The one thing I agree with Charlie Lee in this thread is that the TRUE numbers high or low will not be known for years after any war has ceased.

I get why he/Israel doesn't want their estimated civilian casualty figures released. It will just be used as a media weapon against them.

Avi has a statement to make about that, but he knows fully well it isn't the one that Piers wants to hear.
Honestly, I think we all visibly hesitate when we know we're in need to say something that clearly the listener doesn't want to hear, and we know it.
