As a SGT can i still get into 15W and if so does anyone know if there are school slots open?

I have already tried to get into this MOS, got approved by HRC, but no school dates. I know what I need to do, just wondering if an E5 can get into it.

There are slots available. You need to get with a senior NCO and talk about putting in a 4187 for a
class date. Your unit may have specific requirements and people to go
through to get this done. The current course catalog for Phase 1 is:

That pasted horribly... Go to the course catalog and choose 15W1 for the MOS. Then hit search and choose Phase 1. You will see what is available. You can request a specific class or you may have to just wait until they put you in one.

If you already have been approved then you just get to play the waiting game until you pop up with a school date.

hrc approved d me, but there were no school dates open at that time so I was told no. now I have to retake the physical and probably everything else. just trying to see if there are school dates open and for when.

I am trying to change my MOS, not doing this for the unit I am in. Does ATRRS still come into play?

Yes, it lists the classes being offered. What I meant by asking for help from a senior NCO wasn't about bringing the unit into it, it was about having someone experienced help you out on your end. I suggest you talk to someone and also, print out a course list and take it to your S3. Ask them how to request a specific school date. You can also talk with your gaining branch manager.
