I had no idea he was anointed. Actually he said for a weeks he didn't want it. I also think that in a month he will wish he had not said yes.

I think he is being rewarded for his part in the Obama Trade fiasco. He is certainly being backed by the GOP leadership, the House Democrats, and the mainstream media.

The word is "nominated". I figure the Repubican Caucus, assuming the funding and debt limit passes, will unite behind him until January-ish when the work starts up again.
