UPDATE: After some time, my outstanding Bn S-1 has obtain some very reassuring answers from the state education coordinator. GI Bill benefits stay with you regardless of whether you are actively serving or not. They just expire after the time limit. I am resting assured that the stint in the IRR will not affect my ability to continue my education. Thanks to all of you for your input and guidance. It has been a great help.

I thought it didn't matter what service or component you're in. Post 9-11 benefits are federally mandated across the board. I could me wrong.

im pretty sure this thing benefit does not leave you, i might be wrong but i believe it comes with you .

Yes, its all the same program. I would verify with a Retention NCO though.
