I reenlisted for Airborne school - what are my next steps?

My report date is in August and I'm trying to get stationed in Italy or Alaska. When should I start calling Branch to get an open slot? Is it needs of the Army no matter what right now or is there still options to get to choose where you want to go if open slots are available?

Roger MSG the option was to ether get Airborne or just new duty station of choice that was open so I chose Airborne, however I call branch and they tell me they can not slot me tell I complete Airborne training because I am not guaranteed to pass. Which I am trying to get Italy want to see the world a bit get out of the states got stationed at home here in Colorado sounds cool but then again was not my goal specially it being my first duty station.

Start calling branch asap. Also start making contacts 1 year out.<br>

No...since this is a reenlistment action, it needs to be worked through the servicing Career Counselor.

You probably will go to Fort Liberty after airborne school first. Lol. Italy I believe still is a possibility with lots of luck. School is a breeze! Just get used to running and running and more running.
