Would dwell time come into effect here?

I just got back from a nine month deployment from Iraq in September 2015. Now my unit is telling me that going for 5 month training exercise in March 2016. Is this fair? My dwell time is still in effect during that time.

The unit is able to send you on a training exercise, so long as you are on TDY orders and not TCS. Please reference ALARACT 253/2007.

You should be staying on the dwell time, but talk with your OPS shop and double check that.
