Well here's the deal fellow soldiers, I am a combat vet, who is 40% disabled. I recently had knee surgery, and when I did, I was told the knee that I was having surgery on, for the third time is still rated at 0%, however the my left knee which is chronic pain I'd. Is rated at 10%. I put on for the rate increase as well as temporary 100% for when I was unable to work. I submitted my surgery reports and all other documents, and still have not heard anything back in over a month. How can I speed this up?

Thanks for having the courage to share this challenge with us. SGT Ed Nusspickel, you are educating those of us, like me of the challenges we could be facing as well. I would recommend calling the VA Center close to you or the VA Rep, not sure if the VSO could help in this situation..... Do not quit, do not give up and Thanks for sacrificing for our country brother!

SGT Ed Nusspickel I'm sorry to say that I don't think that you are going to hurry the VA in any way. I would suggest however that you contact Kimberly Bolen RN, here on Rally Point. She has a good handle on the VA process, and may be able to guide you further. I'm sorry I couldn't do any more. Good Luck !!

I had back surgery 2 years ago and put in for the temporary 100% I went through the American legion rep at the va. Plus I had a review done to up my disability rating at the same time. It took about 6 months to finnly get it there was no way to speed it up. I checked a lot and different avenues to try and speed it up because I couldn't work and couldn't live at my house do to the surgery. It takes time
