I'll be moving to Sitka, AK in the future, what advice do you have for me?

Already an Alaskan having lived in Anchorage and Fairbanks but interested in living in Sitka. what advice have you for me?

Get ready for rain!! Sitka is a temperate rain forest, averages 9 FEET Of rain annually, it's also a very small town, around 2000 residents. That said I would move back if my wife would go. Fishing, hunting and sights you won't see other places.

Sound like a true Alaskan. It gets in your blood. I live in Fairbanks so trading negative temps for rain and lived in Portland, OR before. Thanks and good luck to your family.

UPDATE: have testing and interview with different organization so going Tuesday coming back Wednesday. Plan snap a few pics and walk around.
