I'm working on my resume, is there any helpful advice from those of you who already have one? Im trying to equate my experiences in a way that civilian employers would understand and would love to hear any tips or insider secrets that may help me get an edge on the competition.

There are a great many resources available. I have found each business have their own preferences.
The content is what matters and you really can't use one resumes as a one size fits all.
Also the jargon is the biggest barrier. Converting your military job to cilivan terms.

Another helpful hint, review several job postings from the company you are looking into and mirror what they list. Look at what you think are keywords and find ways to include them in your resume.
I was a Career Counselor in the Army, one of my MOS's. If I listed Carer counselor as my title the company would get a wrong impression unless I wanted to be a career counselor for a school. So I have listed that as a retention manager, operations and others.

I just plugged in E-5 15T UH-60 Repairer and all it gave me was 25 pages of cashier.
And if I add 31B and 19D, I get Loss Prevention and store level management and above...
