I have been a paramedic since 2004. Just about 10 years with Fire Rescue and SWAT medic. Any ideas? I have inquired with my BN but haven't really got anywhere.

Nope, you have to go to school. But the good news is that if your certifications are current, you will be able to test out of certain portions of the course.

SSG (Join to see), the school house is the proponent, so they will have to approve it, but yes I have seen this done.

It also has to be NREMT Certification, the school won't accept a state certification. With an NREMT B (or in your case P) you can skip the first 6 weeks of training and enter at the TC3 Stage. However, I have had soldiers in my unit who were Paramedics with similar job experience and they still had to take the entire course, so prepare yourself that they may make you do the entire 68W start to finish. You'll just be incredibly bored for the first half of the course.

You will have to go to the school. they may let you test out of some of the classes, but the Army is big on attending their classes.

There is. Reach out to your retention NCO to ask how.

However, waivers and certifications may be available. I have an MI Soldier trying to switch to X-ray tech based on experience, degree and such. The retention guy didn't say no, but didn't say yes either. There are folks more knowledgeable about this than the old MI weinie over here in the corner. He is trying, but the retention said he needs to prepare to go to AIT.
