The Pentagon has issued a new rule that will require recruits arriving at basic training to use an $80 cash allowance for running shoes to buy only a product made entirely in the United States.

According to the article, there are no running shoes currently produced that meet the requirements of the Berry Amendment, but New Balance hopes to have one out by December. Until there are Berry Amendment compliant shoes, they can buy whatever fits their needs.

Where are you going to get a set of decent (not top of the line PT shoes) American Made PT shoes? I would not expect much, and will not be surprised other in the future that these shoes fall apart as this will be a new factory with, sad to say it, American workers.
