Does anyone know if i can reclass to 68V without going training since I am already a Certified repiratory therapist with current and active licence? I tried to search more information about it but there was nowhere it says you can be awarded that Mos without training.
Thanks in advance.

Formal training (completion of MOS 68V course conducted under the auspices of the AMEDD Center and School) mandatory.

I had to speak to my career counselor every day for a month for 68V to open up. Takes time and effort!

What if I previously had the MOS? Is it possible to be inserted into the clinical portion as a refresher?

I know you can JOIN the Army and be awarded an MOS without going through training, it's called the ACASP program AR 601-210 chp 7 or 9 ( not in front of my computer to grab the regulation). You have to meet certain requirements such as certifications or time performing the job and often need letters of reference. As for reclassing into it I suggest you go visit retention and talk to them. There is always the possibility.

MSG Quick, thanks for the clarification. I knew there were a few on the 68 series list. Have you ever seen ACASP applied after initial enlistment?

Formally, you really cant.

However, the way around this is to contact the 68V proponent. They "may" grant you a waiver for formal training based upon the needs and strength of the MOS and validity of your certifications. With that memorandum, your Career Counselor will submit a Voluntary Reclass without training. It's up to you to make contact with that proponent and get the waiver.

We had this same situation happen 2 years ago. A girl joined the Army and she was a licensed LPN. She was told she was enlisting as a medic. After basic she discovered she enlisted as an 88M. So, that's how we fixed it.
