Whats your thoughts on promoting a Soldier to E-5 in the secondary zone

If the soldier is truly ready. There are a few hard chargers out there that have dreamed of the military growing up and see themselves as being CSM of the Army. Others just want to do their time and get out. If they are going the extra mile and are ready then by all means promote them.

Why not .. I was promoted to 5-5 and E-6 in the Secondary Zone .. and made the Secondary Zone for E-7...

What about the MOS' who are so hard up for their NCO slots that they promote based on BASD? Does this not devalue the promotion?
