What happened to the News and Current Events group?

I tried using it and noticed that it's gone, and has disappeared from all the posts I've used it on in the past. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, as RallyPoint grows, people begin to follow more and more specific tags and subjects, and "News and Current Events" became too broad. Instead, people follow more specific topics like "Politics" or "International Relations", and therefore get more relevant items in their feed. Most people simply didn't want their feed cluttered by the very vague topic of "News".
