I'm interested in volunteering for the AIT Platoon Sgt position. Has anyone done it before, and if so how do you go about volunteering for it?

I think that's a safe assessment. The course is held at the Drill Sergeant Academy. Same school house and barracks.

Yup. If you were formally NOT accepted as a DS Canidate, forget it. I was a DSL, and I believe your chances are slim.

To volunteer contact your branch. There is also a check box you can select if you go into your ASK Profile under the volunteer tab.
