Is there NCOES school you attend once you're assigned as the EO rep?

I was told by my section OIC that he wants to assign me as the EO NCOIC, is there a training school you have to attend? If so where is this school located?

Ok first and foremost the EO program is a commanders program therefore the commander must appoint you as the EOL. Nothing against your OIC but he can only recommend to your commander to be and unit EOL and placed on orders by the commander. Next you will need to speak with your BDE EOA (with orders in hand) who will lay out the guidelines of your installation along with school dates and the whole nine (For example I had to do an interview, local records check and essay when I went to EOL as apart of the units SOP). But to get a headstart look into AR 600-20 and you will find the basis of the program.

SSG (Join to see) - That's understandable however you still fall under a company commanders 162. That commander is the one who will appoint you.

Ok good deal. Everythin that must be done as apart of the EO program per DA guidance is found in Ar 600-20 Army Command Policy Chapter 6. This is the bulk of what will be covered in the EOL class. It won't hurt to take a few moments to read through it and know the requirements of the program. For my class it was testable. Also, from what I was told, each installation's programs is slightly different. Have fun in the class learning about others and their perceptions. I know I did.
