According to there website, they are not. Does anybody know the reasoning ?

It is highly competitive, but very high turnover, almost all the NCO's depart at 20 years with many departing before then, it's a very easy way into a great career. Get your package ready likely it will be available next year.

That's interesting, I've never heard of this MOS. it sounds like it could be a really good job that you can use when you retire.
I would ask your retention NCO, then possibly talk to your branch manager about this. They sould be able to answer your question more effectively.
