Advice on getting a place to live after leaving the army?

Are you planning on going to school full time? If so, colleges will have family housing to offer.

If you are able to, you could apply to full time programs this Fall and get out in the summer of 2017 and go straight to school. You'll also have better GI Bill coverage due to your additional service. It could really be best for you.

If you don't have a choice and must get out now, you can start doing online courses now full time, that still qualifies you for BAH under the GI Bill if you're eligible for it. If none of the above works, then you'll have to get any job you can to pay the bills anyway.

Well, unless your wife has a really good paying job you're going to need at least a part time job to help with expenses. The G.I. Bill pays BAH but depending g where you're going to live it might not help to much.

Find that college first. When you get accepted, start looking for a house to rent and apply while you have your current job (side note, use promove if you can or other apartment hunting agencies that are free to you to assist in your housing needs), you'll need to budget for utilities, rent, and other expenses. If you qualify for additional government aide, then apply also for the county/state you live in (this will take some time to process) and you should be good to go.
Planning is the hard part, execution is easier the more thoroughly you plan.
